On 7 and 8 November 2025, the event “Women’s Empowerment: Enhancing Participation” took place in Copenhagen, Denmark, as part of the European project WOMEN4FUTURE – Women Participation for the Future of Europe.
The event brought together over 300 participants from more than 11 countries, creating an international space for dialogue, exchange and reflection on women’s empowerment and active participation in society.
During the two-day event, participants took part in workshops, creative activities and discussions focused on the role of sport and art as tools to promote inclusion, participation and personal growth. Project partners shared experiences and perspectives from their countries, contributing to a rich and multicultural debate.
Key activities included storytelling through drawing and painting, a creative LEGO workshop dedicated to building sports facilities, and a discussion on women’s football, with a focus on the Danish experience and the role of support, funding and infrastructure in encouraging women’s participation in sport.
The event highlighted how sport and art can become powerful tools to increase women’s involvement, strengthen self-confidence and promote more equal and inclusive participation in community and public life.
